The Unit Five Education Association (UFEA) represents more than 900 certificated personnel and the Unit Five Support Professionals Association (UFSPA) represents more than 300 full-time and part-time ESPs (Education Support Professionals). The leaders of UFEA and UFSPA are exploring the idea of becoming one union.
We are currently spending time helping members understand what it would mean to become one union. We’ve got 4 town hall meetings scheduled* and have published a simple website at un1on.info to give members a chance to get informed, to ask questions, and to share their input.
The website also includes a survey. It is vitally important that each member takes a few minutes to answer the handful of questions.

- Wednesday, November 8 from 4:30-5:30 pm at Sugar Creek Elementary School
- Tuesday, November 14 from 4:30-5:30 pm at Chiddix Junior High School
- Monday, November 20 from 6-7 pm at the IEA Office (304 S. Eldorado Rd, Bloomington, IL)
