Tonight’s bargaining session with the District, which lasted about 5 hours, was productive in the sense that we finally persuaded the District to back down from a number of their proposals that would have required concessions on the part of members. We still have more work to do to be ready to bring back a contract that recognizes the realities of the District and is fair to members, but we are encouraged by the progress and appreciative of the support and solidarity of members.
