Through the UFEA Tourchbearer Fund, the Unit Five Education Association annually awards multiple $1,000 scholarships to current Unit 5 high school seniors, including students pursuing a career in education, the child of a UFEA member, and a student in need of financial assistance who plans to continue their education at a 4-year college, 2-year college, trade school, or in the military.
Applicants will use the application form and points will be awarded based on a rubric applied by the scholarship committee.
Applications are now being accepted for:
Phyllis Rosenbaum NCHS Scholarship
This will be awarded to a high school senior, graduating from NCHS and choosing a career in the field of education.
Phyllis Rosenbaum NCWHS Scholarship
This will be awarded to a high school senior, graduating from NCWHS and choosing a career in the field of education.
UFEA Scholarship
This will be awarded to the child of a UFEA member who is a high school senior and plans to continue their education after high school at a 2 or 4 year college, in the military or at trade school
Impact Scholarship
This will be awarded to a high school senior, from either Unit 5 high school, who plans to continue their education after high school at a 2 or 4 year college, in the military or at trade school.
Applications are due by 3:00 pm March 21, 2025
Applications for each $1000 scholarship should be completed online using the application form below by 3:00 pm on March 21, 2025. No submissions will be accepted after that date, and applications without letters of reference or transcripts will not be considered. Any additional information should be mailed to:
