Bargaining Update

 

The Collective Bargaining Committee will be meeting with the board and administration this afternoon and next Monday (Aug. 31^st). Until a new contract is ratified, we will use the language and salaries from the expired contract.  This is typical and is required by the Labor Laws that govern educational employees. The district administration has also indicated that this means that members will be awarded their step and lane movements starting with the September 15^th check.

 

We will also continue to offer video updates. Jon Butler will send a message when a new update has been posted to our website: www.ufea.org. 

 

Drive and Plan Time

 

If you feel you do not have enough time allotted in your schedule to travel safely between assignments, please contact Mr. Pye or myself. You may request a schedule review within the first 15 days of the school year.

 

Preparation times for elementary, secondary, and area staff are described in Contract Section 6.4.  The contract is available at www.ufea.org as well, in case you’re not sure where your paper copy is.  Please check your schedule to make sure it complies with our contract.  If you have questions about your particular situation, check with your building administrator.

Sick Bank Forms

 

Sick Bank donation forms are due to Pat Chaddon in Payroll (Unit Office) by Tuesday, September 8^th. If you need a form, your building administrator should be able to provide one for you. Please let me know if you have questions.
